Small cache located in Deltona's 9 acre Dwight Hawkins park which closes at sunset. Pets must be leashed. Beware briars and charcoal. Bring your own pen!
Sometimes we cache and find - earning a smile.
Other times we cache and burn - and have to log a DNF.
Either way this is a great hobby isn't it?
Cache was moved from its original location to higher ground in Dec 09 to avoid becoming an 'underwater' cache after heavy rains. A trail will take you near the cache, but you will have to battle sand spurs, potatoe vines and briars to reach it.
Please replace cache as found or better. Items in the cache container are for trading. That means if you take one thing, you leave another in exchange.
This is a great park for kids. There are two large game fields, a covered rock wall and rope jungle-jim climbing area, playground, basketball court, picnic tables, grills, restrooms and water fountain.
