Near the end of the Civil War, General John Hunt Morgan led his
Confederate Cavalry Division of 2,400 men on a raid through
southern Indiana and Ohio.
This park marks the site where the Harrison Co. Home Guards
fought Morgan and was the only battle in Indiana during the Civil
War. In memory of the brave citizens led by Colonel Lewis Jordan
and the history of the event, this park was dedicated in 1977.

If gate is closed please do not enter. Park is open Dawn to
Dusk.
