The History
The Irish Parachute Club was founded in 1956 by an adventure sports enthusiast and Irish skydiving pioneer called Freddie Bond.
He was an experienced war time veteran who survived many death defying raids. He wanted to promote parachuting in Ireland and get more people skydiving.
The club is a non-profit organisation, which puts all its funds back into the purchase and maintenance of equipment. It is highly safety conscious. Chief Club Instructor, Colman Brouder, states on the club's website that the club has one of the best safety records in the world.
