A cicada is an insect of the order Hemiptera. They have large eyes and clear wings. Many people around the world eat cicadas. Cicada in latin means buzzer they make a remarkably loud buzzing sound. Most Cicadas have a 13 or 17 year life cycle making them one of the longest living insects. This cache of course looks like a cicada but don't eat this one.
