James Bridger: MISCELLANEOUS RANT:

I boast that I own nearly a thousand geocache hides. Come to find out, it's been the other way around this whole time.

Someone painted April Fool in big black letters on a Dead End sign.

Would you rather get one shot in the head or five in the chest and bleed to death?

Held his heart in his hands, and ate of it.

You pay as you go. Sometimes all you have.

I'm going outside now. I may be gone for some time.

I am shutting down the machine. A container will remain at the following location for a while yet, until I retrieve it, so you may find it normally. If you wish, you may take the container. If you do so, please indicate such in your log. Likewise, as I recover the container, I will post that I have removed the container.

Thank you to all who "Veni. Vidi. Vici."

Geocache Description:

Located in the center of O'neill, Nebraska at the intersection of Highways 20 and 281, this cache should be an easy find. At the intersection you will see the largest shamrock in Nebraska, which recieves a fresh limning every spring for St. Patrick's Day. You are encouraged to wear green here, even if it's not March, as this is the Irish Capital of Nebraska.

There is a bench to sit on if you get tired while looking, and if you're having trouble finding the cache, there is a replica Blarney Stone also, so kissing that might bring you luck. This is a high traffic area so stealth is required and there are numerous places to park along the street.

Across the street to the east is the Holt County Historical Museum and Genealogical Research Center, which is located in the restored Nebraska State Bank building that operated as that bank from 1910 to 1930. If you are here during their hours of operation, it would be a good place to learn more about O'Neill and Holt county. As usual, respect the area, CITO if needed, and please rehide as found. Thank you and good luck.
