JJG10101: Well.. it's been two weeks since the big event. According to the inventory, "There are no Trackables in this cache." Yay! Good job logging TBs, coins and other items stamped with various six-character codes.

More importantly, thanks again to one and all that attended. I know that finding time to take part in an event can sometimes be tricky.

Geocache Description:


It's the fourth edition of that third-Saturday-in-August thing. It also happens to be "National Rum Day," but that's probably the result of lobbying efforts by the Bacardí people. ;-)

Anyway, here's the plan: let's meet up at the Stonefire Grill in Irvine on Saturday night (after spending the day caching, no doubt). So whip out your smartyphone or tablet and fire up your save-the-date app. After all, any caching event with the word "International" in the title must be significant, right?

DATE: Saturday, August 16, 2014
TIME: 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Stonefire Grill, 3966 Barranca Parkway, Irvine, CA 92606

What's on the agenda? Well, there will probably be a contest/game, plus we might have a few geo-doodads to hand out. Expect to see a collection of travel bugs, geocoins, and other trackables. Rumor has it you'll even get a new souvenir on your profile page. The best part, of course, is spending time with other cachers, talking about various finds, getting puzzle hints, and the like. We look forward to seeing everyone on IGD4: International Geocaching Day IV.
