Geocache Description:

The north one of two caches along the old railway embankment on the side of the Kent Estuary between Storth and Anside. This short branch connected the Arnside line to the main north-west line at Hincaster and cut the corner avoiding Lancaster.

The old embankment is a fine place for an easy amble. This north end has had a brand new lawn laid, which when the frost isn't around, looks more like a carpet or bowling green! New boulders protect the sea side on this stretch. Excellent views across the estuary and a pleasant walk along to the other cache. A good place for geohounds and you will most likely meet a few folk along the way. It's about 1.5km to the other cache and 2km to Arnside station.

Given the nice new boulders we couldn't resist going for the 'under a rock' clue! Sorry! To assist you, the cache is at 90° to the srapr between the second and third. There is a spoiler pic available below - look for the edging stone.

Take care on the rocks and please re-hide well. A little bit of stealth may be needed - watch out for walkers. Hope you have an enjoyable amble.
