Cache is located in Short Hills Nature Sanctuary, there is a posted phone number for one to call for permission to enter. Land is owned by the Hamilton Naturalist Club, who give permission for passive use. The short orange trail is about 400 meters long clearly marked it makes a loop from roadside down 25 meters in elevation to the headwaters of 12 mile creek and back to the road again. Cache is at bottom so enjoy the trail and make the full loop. This is my favorite winter hiking spot, we have seen owls, hawks, deer, fox, coyote, rabbits
