Acheron River #3 Traditional Cache
Cache Guardians: Checked this cache on our way past and discovered that it was missing. 😮 How a bison tube in Armco railing could be muggled out here is one of life's great mysteries.
As no-one has been interested in coming out to find this cache, I am archiving it to free up the area for someone else to place a cache. (MD)

The Acheron way is an excellent rainforest drive which follows the Acheron River down to Narbethong, which I have enjoyed on my way to Taggerty and Eildon.
The original cache was destroyed by the bushfires, so I have now put a replacement cache in a different spot. This is 1 of 3 caches I have placed in this beautiful part of the world according to me. The cache is a 1.2 litre sistema container. Park your vehicle at S37 deg 36.609, E145deg 42.040 Check out the fern at the original GZ it’s starting to grow again. Original GZ, S37deg 36.609, E145deg 42.040 At these coordinates S37deg 36.637, E145deg 42.203 you will find the remains of a concrete kiln as well as other artefacts from the timber industry. Please take the time to look. I was going to place a cache here but due to the fact that camping is allowed here, I thought it was a bad idea as no doubt the cache would disappear. Acheron River which crosses under the road metres from the cache. There is room to park your vehicle. Hope you enjoy the cache as much as I enjoyed placing it.
