South Venice This cache is located in Rookery Park, a Sarasota County Park that hosts the Venice Area Audubon Rookery. The Rookery is on an island in a retention pond. It is a nesting spot for Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Anhinga’s and other wading birds. Visitors from all over the world come to the Rookery to observe these nesting birds in their natural habitat. There are likely to be many photographers at the Rookery so be discrete as you geocache. The cache is a camo container. Nearby parking is available. Enjoy the Park.
