Welcome to the Lake
Renwick Preserve-Turtle Lake Access.
.
This
preserve features year round fishing (shoreline), a 2.9 mile paved
bike/hiking path, and picnic areas. There is ample paved parking
and seasonal restrooms onsite. This area is adjacent on the west to
the Lake Renwick Heron Rookery Nature Preserve. During non-mating
season (mid August-Feb) the preserve paths are connected via the
railroad underpass. You will see birds of all sorts in the area. I
have seen plenty of other wildlife as well...deer, beavers,
groundhogs and chipmunks...just to name a
few.
Please do NOT attempt this by parking on Lockport Road.
This
cache has a permanent visitor. There is a Breast Cancer Awareness
Geocoin with it's tracking number in the cache for all visitors to
discover and get a really cool icon just for visiting the cache and
logging the
coin.TB2Z7YE (note: This is just the reference
number. It CANNOT be logged with this
number).
.
There
is room for Travelbugs and or Geocoins. A special Thank You to
Lesori for your help in decorating/design of cache
components.
