Kath is no longer with us but she had amazing stories to tell of this - one of her first teaching schools.
This area was a busy community in the early 1900's and even when Mum Grom lived "locally" (in the 80's) - she used to play tennis across the road at the local Tennis Courts, she even coached a netball team called Wauraltee Gold and she also attended those unforgettable New Year's Eve shows at the Institute........now if those walls could talk.......Toga Parties were the rage and everyone came dressed (or undressed) to the theme!
There was a church and church hall across the road - one has been demolished but one of the buildings has been put to good use. Also check out the monuments highlighting the parks and efforts of the local pioneers.
