Climb a Tree, Find Cache - EXTREME!! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

Climb a Tree, Find Cache - EXTREME!!

This tree climb will not be for the faint of heart.  I recently had to archive 2 of my other climbing caches to make this one possible (they kept getting muggled.  This one has a near 0% chance of getting muggled). I found this tree while hiding my two other tree climbing caches nearby but it was too close to the others so I had it as a bonus cache for a while. Not many takers with it not being an official cache. Now is your chance to test your fear of heights and your physical climbing abilities.
No special equipment should be necessary to reach this cache although those who have it might use it anyway.  I have climbed this tree at least 6 times during the process of listing this cache, both in the winter and the summer, so the tree limbs are strong but extreme concentration and caution is needed to make the climb safely.

**If you have any doubts about your ability to reach this cache then please do not attempt it.**
While looking from the south side of the tree, look up 34ft and you will see this flourescent green container dangling from a branch just daring you to come up and grab it.
**Please be sure to tighten the cap all of the way after opening the container.  I found it full of water after my last trip up the tree. Thanks!!**
If you are caching with someone, I would love to see a picture of you up in the tree.  If you are alone, a pic from the top of the tree would be great as well.

Special note: Since this cache had previously been listed as a bonus cache, there have been 6 people brave enough to make the climb or assist someone else with the find:

-dublin07 11/3/08
-ethanbl 11/3/08
-escapee06 2/6/09
-theboysplusone 2/7/09
-pubman 2/23/09
-chuckmaster83 2/23/09

Since they already logged this cache, I will not require them to make the climb again. Feel free to log this cache on the date that you actually found it. Sorry but the new first finder will be able to claim the FTF honor since they are the first to find it after being published. But I do recognize you all as the first group to make the climb and I have entered your names in the log book on the first page.
**While I was last visiting the cache, a 14 year old girl called out to me to warn me about poison ivy located around the tree (this little girl is smarter than I am). There is a path that leads to the tree that was free of the poison ivy so you should be able to grab this cache with out getting the itchies. Also, during the summer there is a lot of sap on the tree so if you are not careful you can expect to get a little sticky if you don't wear gloves.**
*You must climb the tree and sign the log in order to log this cache. No "I saw it from below" logging allowed. The log book will be checked to confirm your name appears 34ft up in the air.*
