As G grew up she knew she was destined for more. She wanted excitement. She was sooo bored with her chores, but as soon as she was done it was off to the woods to hunt and hunt she did! Small game of deer but her favorite was bear, wild cats and wolves. Due to the danger that these animals held it was a shot of adrenaline that she needed, but one day up on top of this bluff while skinning a wild cat something caught her eye. Puffing up the mighty miss was Miss Kris. She was beautiful steamship, red, white and blue with huge stacks and playing dixie tunes. Right then and there she knew this was what she was destined for, a life as a river rat. G went home, packed her belongings and was off to the big city of La Crosse.
