Baa, baa, black sheep Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

n5es: [:(] Very sorry this latest hide was unsuccessful. There was a good run for a while. Now I see there really is no choice with what we were wanting to do. Thanks to the two helpful DNFs.[:)] I'm not very steady on my feet these days, so you have saved me a trip to check on it. Time for us to do a different kind of hide. This one is kaput. Regards to all. ..._._ (over and out).

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Located in Meyer Park with a nice duck pond. Easy parking and access. Some elevation variation - a wheel chair is not recommended. About 0.15 mile from parking.

The park is a good place for children to play or just to relax and have lunch. There are lots of ducks, and they are not all in the water!

Park your vehicle in a convenient place in the Walmart parking lot and approach the cache along the property line between the park and the WalMart store. This will minimize chances you will be noticed by apartment dwellers. It is sometimes quite busy (word to the wise).

The cache is a clear container sold online at Geocaching.com and is about 6x8x2. It is large enough to hold several items. The location is convenient for cachers passing through Houston. It is camouflaged with artificial branches. Inside the box, you will find a picture of the original black sheep "piggy bank" converted to a cache container. Sadly, it was muggled and now all we have is the picture. There is a pencil and log book (in a separate Ziploc bag for extra moisture protection).

You may find trade items and travel bugs. You can leave 'em or take 'em. No particular rules apply. Bug Hotel rules are simple and posted. Mostly, it is just "do the right thing" with whatever you take.

A first-to-find prize awaits the lucky finder. It is an un-activated travel bug. This FTF is also there for the latest hide (Sept., 2014). Good luck!
