The trail gets it's name from the fact that to the best of my knowledge this is the only area in North Shrops that 2 big cats are known to exist, they are known locally as Kitty and Pussie. Kitty is a Geo cat whereas Pussie is more of a muggle moggie. The best time to see these beasts is in the autumn when the fields are clear of crops, if you don't manage to catch sight of them you'll definitely be able to hear them especially in the still evening air when their growls carry for some considerable distance.
