Geocache Description:

San Tan 100 Challenge Cache

This is not a puzzle or mystery cache. This challenge cache is located at the coordinates above. The cache is on Arizona State Trust Land so a recreational permit is required. You can obtain a permit here:
(visit link)

The Challenge:

How quickly can you find caches that have a combined total difficulty and terrain rating of 100 points?

Starting AFTER you find this cache, accumulate 100 difficulty & terrain points on new cache finds. You cannot use cache finds that you found and logged in the past. The faster you find this cache, the faster you can get started accumulating points! You can accumulate points faster by concentrating on higher difficulty and terrain ratings. However, don’t spend too long on the tough ones. Some other cacher may beat you by lifting lots of light pole skirts!

Additional Logging Requirements:

The logging requirements and format are similar to those used by “Arizona's Alphanumeric Challenge” (GC1CDZK) owned and posted by aztech.

1. Find, and sign the physical log of this cache.

2. Record your visit by logging a note only, not a “found it” (no smiley – yet), on this cache page.

3. Starting AFTER you find this cache, record the difficulty and terrain rating for each cache that you visit & log. You get 1 point for each difficulty & terrain rating point. After you accumulate 100 points, you may log your “found it” on this cache page. You cannot use cache logs that you found before noting your find on this cache. Copy and paste your list of new cache finds to this cache page in your “Found it!” log.

Document your point score in your “Found it” log in the following format:

Cache Name, Cache# (GCXXXX), Date of find & log, Difficulty/terrain = total score

Example:

Found San Tan 100 on 12/15/08

D.O.C., GC1HMFK, 12/16/09, 5/4.5 = 9.5 points
Goldmine 360, GCKFV1, 12/17/09, 2.5/3.5 = 6 points
We Sell For Less, GCV901, 12/17/09, 1/1 = 2 points
….ect…

Total 100 Points on 12/20/08

The Cache:

Please re-hide the cache as found (or better) to keep it long lasting. There is room for a few small travel bugs or geocoins.

The difficulty/terrain rating is based on the ClayJar rating system. However, I did not take into account that it may take several days to complete the challenge. The rating above is for this cache only.

GPSr accuracy was +/- 15 feet when placed.

The Prize:

$10 Starbucks gift card and the accolades of your fellow cachers. Remember, you have to find, log, and list more caches after finding this cache to claim your FTF.

On your mark… get set… GO!

Congratulations to AZ Chemistry Cachers for their First To Find!
