Geocache Description:


North Carolina's state motto is "Esse Quam Videri", which translates to "To Be Rather Than To Seem". We've taken the motto for our great state, thrown it into reverse, and created this series: Videri Quam Esse (To Seem Rather Than To Be). That's right...there's another imposter on the loose!

This is a small cache hidden near a tiny intersection of two unmarked, unpaved roads. In fact, we didn’t even realize that these WERE official roads until one fateful day when we were driving through the area. There it was as clear as day on the fraycar’s GPS screen: Lame Street. We could not believe our eyes! We drove a little closer to investigate and indeed this street *is* pretty lame. Then, just when we thought that we had seen all that this street had to offer, our GPS told us more astonishing news. The little road that connects with our now-beloved Lame Street…it is Lame Avenue!! That’s it – we are SO hiding a cache here!

Please exercise good judgement and stealth during your search. The cache is too small for a pen, so bring your own ink. Do not be worried about the little house across the street – we spoke with the nice man who lives there to explain the future strange behavior that he might witness, and he’s looking forward to it! As a courtesy to him, we ask that you please limit your search to daylight hours.
