In 1962, encouraged by Queensland Government tourism incentives after it agreed to build a bridge to Bribie Island, Bill Stewart built a seawater aquarium using new techniques developed by Sydney Marine Research Group.
The bridge opened in 1963, but it did not bring enough tourists and the aquarium closed a year later. You should take the time to go past the remains and take the short work to the beach. The condition of the area has deteriorated a little since we placed the cache. GZ is not at the structure.
