Resolution Bay, a quiet little back water in the outer reaches of Queen Charlotte Sound. You can get there by boat, via a slight detour from the fabulous Queen Charlotte walkway, or paddle in via sea kayak as I did when placing the cache.
However you choose to arrive, the DOC campsite in Schoolhouse bay is a welcome and pleasant staging post on your journey.
The cache container is a small systema container. You may find the original container for this cache on site nearby - the wine bottle I had on hand at the time!.... Please sign the log in the regular cache container.
Thanks to Rarangi for quick thinking and replacing the container when he visted in March 2009.
Just watch out for the local weka population - they are fast and have no respect for anyones property! To avoid the cache being taken by weka, please put the rocks back on top carefully.
