Fundado en el 1938 bajo la presidencia del Sr. Ramón Valdes Cobián, del Concilio de Puerto Rico, BSA. Campamento Guajataka se encuentra situado a las orillas del Lago Guajataca entre los municipios de San Sebastián y Quebradillas, Puerto Rico. Comprende una extensión territorial de aproximadamente 180 cuerdas bordeadas por el maravilloso Lago Guajataca por el sur y el oeste. El Campamento Guajataka está considerado el Bosque de Caobas más grande del Caribe, por lo cual tiene un gran valor ecológico, y en el mismo habitan varias especies de plantas y animales nativas y endémicas en peligro de extinción. Pero sobre todo este campamento corre gracias a la gran labor brindada por cientos de jóvenes escutistas de todo Puerto Rico los cuales han sido adiestrados y capacitados profesionalmente en seis áreas de especialidad siendo estas: Voyager de Expedición : Dedicados a la Alta Aventura: Curso de Soga “C.O.P.E.”, Expediciones, Climbing & Rapelling, Sobrevivencia, Backpacking, Sistemas de Orientacion (GPS & Brújula). Aquatic Team: Deportes acuáticos, Salvavidas, piscina, canoas, kayaks, veleros y botes de remos. Nature Team: Todo lo relacionado a la naturaleza, Flora, Fauna, Estrellas etc. Sport Team: Deportes recreativos, Arco y Flecha, Baloncesto, Balompie, Voleyball, Tiro con rifles, pesca, Curso de obstaculos, etc. Program Aide: Conocimientos basicos escutistas, nudos, fogatas, casetas, cocina al aire libre, etc. Staff Administrativo: Control de inventario de la tienda de articulos de recuerdo, cantina y comedor.

Guajataka Camp is located on the shores of Lake Guajataca between the municipalities of San Sebastián and Quebradillas, Puerto Rico. It comprises a territorial extension of approximately 180 ropes bordered by the wonderful Lake Guajataca in the south and west. Guajataka Camp is considered the largest mahogany forest in the Caribbean, so it has great ecological value, and it inhabits several species of native and endemic plants and animals in danger of extinction. But above all this camp runs thanks to the great work provided by hundreds of young scouts from all over Puerto Rico who have been trained and professionally trained in six areas of specialization being these: Expedition Voyager: Dedicated to High Adventure: Noose Course “COPE”, Expeditions, Climbing & amp; Rapelling, Survival, Backpacking, Orientation Systems (GPS & Compass). Aquatic Team: Water sports, lifeguards, swimming pool, canoes, kayaks, sailboats and rowing boats.
