Geocache Description:


The archaeolog was on a routin mission. Digging out a bronze age grave knoll. New houses are being built at Steningehöjden. Any valuable historical items must be found before the houses can be put up. The archaeolog did not expect to find anything very exciting, but while she dug she suddenly found a coin in the earth, then the team found more coins. Ancient silver coins. A total of 482 silver coins were found. The coins were hidden at the grave during the Viking age.
NB The bronze age grave is now completely excavated, no ancient remains is left at site.
