This is a cache commemorating the history of Lakeville. The
Lakeville
Historical Society has begun erecting signs in various
locations around the city to share the cities rich history with
residents. As funding allows, the Society will continue to place
signs. Take a look at the pictures on the sign and see how much the
city has changed!
As you are standing at the cache, you can see the bank across
the street. Take a minute to cross the street for a good view of
the Fire Hall. This is one of the Fire Halls my grandpa worked out
of many years ago. At the posted coordinates, you will also see a
sign commemorating my great great uncle, a former police chief. He
also happened to be a fireman out of this particular Fire Hall as
well.
