En liten bit ifrån cachens gömsle ligger Åse Kyrkogård. För 175 år sedan härjade koleraepedemin på Skaftö. Många barn blev av med sina föräldrar och fick sedan tas omhand av andra. De drabbade från Skaftö landsbygd ligger begravda på Åse kyrkogård. Den första, pigan Anna Kristina Persdotter, (23 år) från St Grönskhult, som blev begravd där antecknades i begravningsboken för Morlanda "Begravd i vederbörligen utsedda och därtill invigda begravningsplatsen Åsbacken under Berg på Skaftö". Där begravdes även tyska o engelska sjömän omkomna under kriget. Informationstavlor finns vid ingången till kyrkogården. ................
A short distance from the hidden cache you´ll find the Åse Cemetary. 175 years ago the cholera epidemic swept over the Skaftö Island. Many children lost their parents and had to be taken care of by others. The victims from the countryside of Skaftö was buried at Åse cemetary. The first victim, the maid Anna Kristina Persdotter (23 years old) from St. Grönskhult, who was buried there, was noted in the funeralbook for Morlanda "buried at the duly designated and inaugurated place for funerals Åsbacken, Berg at Skaftö". At this cemetary were also buried many mariners from Germany and England who died during the war. Read more about this at the informationboards situated at the entrance to the cemetary.
