Geocache Description:

A nano-sized cache (yes, a nano in the forest, but hidden in direct, plain view if you look in the right place), midway through the beautiful Pinchot Trail in the Helena open space system. Moderately strenuous terrain.

Gifford Pinchot was the first Chief of the United States Forest Service (1905–1910). The Pinchot Trail is a lesser-known trail, but has some beautiful views and is well worth checking out. This cache can be retrieved year-round, although snowshoes might help at times during winter. It is a good mountain biking route during summer. Bring tweezers and your own writing tool. Enjoy the trail, and check for another geocache by Tatorjuice located near the south end of Pinchot that can be grabbed along the way.

Suggest parking at the Old Shooting Range kiosk located at N 46 33.868 W 112 02.782.
