GO-GO-ANNA
A cache for those who like a bit of an uphill
bushwalk.
Located in the House Mountain Range, Go-Go-Anna is about a
2.5 kms walk each way, along a not so gently sloping fire trail. A
moderately steep climb for a total elevation gain of 300
metres.
The trail heads uphill, past a couple of houses and into
the forest. The
Walker's Challenge cache is passed shortly before you attain
the ridgeline.
Once on the ridgeline head west along the House Mountain
Range where glimpses of views of the Samford Valley and Cedar Creek
await you.
Early morning and evening are the best times here as the
wildlife is at its most active. Goannas are also in plentiful
supply.
A rocky area near the summit provides a hiding spot for
the cache.
Start at S27 21.937E152
51.905 where there is ample parking. There are other ways to
approach the area. But it would appear that the shorter, western
approach is across private property.
Enjoy :)
