Geocache Description:

You'll be exploring a piece of history while walking along the route of the Virginian Railway, a major coal route to the Port of Norfolk on your quest for No more Trainz.

No More Trainz is located along the long abandoned, Virginian Railway roadbed northeast from what was Algren, VA, (Milepost 15.4). Algren is where what was the Virginian Railway crossed the Seaboard Railway (now operated by CSXT). The path through what is now light woods is easy to recognize. Your path is on top of what was the Virginian Railway roadbed, a major rail route for coal transport into the Port of Norfolk, many years ago. Ah, but, which way to turn when you've found the old roadbed? There is access on either side of Homestead road.... only one is correct. Parking available in 2 places near the cache. The corner of Homestead and Sondej in the Catholic church parking lot or the parking lot of the Baptist Church on East Road. I have posted a waypoint for the latter. In either case, the old roadbed is about 200' N and into the the treeline. Hiking down the roadbed is a fairly clear walk in some places, in others the walk is "overgrowth challenged." As you can see from the picture, some bushwacking will be required.
