Geocache Description:

The Frank and Evelyn Strong River Meadow Preserve is the newest acquisition of Woodbury's Park and Recreation holdings and is filled with history. The meadow was once home of Native Ameicans and the corn fields and meadows reflect the agricultural history of the area.

The cache is a cammo-taped plastic jar containing some candles for peaceful nights and bubbles for a first find kid of any age, travel bug, and log. A kid friendly cache just be careful of the prickers nearby. Nonnewaug High School is the regions agri-school. The Nonnewaug River winds around the meadow and field and is a beautiful fishing spot. You can follow the river around the meadows edge when the corn is growing or cut across the field when it's not.

Park at the end of Scratchville Road, a dead end. If you approach from a different direction you may find yourself on the wrong side of the river.
