40 years ago a boy wrote his name in wet concrete.
Find the Lost Boy's name in concrete at above coordinates. A simple puzzle using the letters in his name must be solved. This will lead you to the site of the Lost Boys' Secret Harbour Fortress. Many summer holidays were spent here with kids from around the neighbourhood. Underwater expeditions were mounted with mask flippers and snorkel. We would explore and map the seabed and collect specimens and artifacts. My big brother had a spear gun and to my horror would hunt 'leather jackets' . Occasionally he would get one and the water would fill with blood. We never thought about the sharks. Rafts were built and sailed and wrecked on the cruel rocky shores. One night we paddled out to Clarke Island (no lights) ... made a campfire on top of the hill, boiled the billy and drank tea ... Did their parents know? I doubt it.
It is here amongst the memories and dangers you will find the treasure box. A circular metal ex biscuit tin nestled in the foliage. Recommend "Whacking Day" method with stick. Cache will 'Boink' long before it is seen.
At Parking Area (Waypoint 1), find the Lost Boy's name in concrete,{you do not need to enter any private land}. There are 7 letters in his name. Using the letters in his name as numbers in the alphabet eg.
a=1
b=2
c=3
d=4
e=5 etc.
Substitute these values in the equation below.
Cache box is located at =====
33* 52. (3rd letter - 1)(1st letter-2)(2nd letter-2)
151* 14.(1st letter) ( 7th letter-1) (5th letter-6)
and yes, the Lost Boy is me.
The name in concrete, while appearing faint in the daylight with light from above, is very much there. I passed by after dark the other night and with my torch, when shone from low-down and across the concrete, the name jumps out very clearly. If you took a 'rubbing' with paper and charcoal it would be clear. (not recommended) Also , this wasn't my house. We lived at number 9. This house belonged to my sister's friend, think her name was Claire. Wonder if her parents cursed that naughty boy?
