Fountains Falls Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The cache is located across from a path which leads to a small waterfall on Fountains Creek.
The cache is not hidden at the falls so as not to disturb the area with people searching for the cache, and to allow you to discover the falls yourself.
Past the waterfall and a little way down the track is a waterhole, which could be a good place to cool off on a hot summer’s day. Also in the area are many waratah plants, which can be seen from the path when in flower.
Fountains Creek flows into the old railway dams which once provided water for the steam trains when they were at Gosford Station.
Please replace the camouflage over the cache.
There are two ways to access the cache and we have listed the two possible parking locations.
The longer of the two walks provides the best path to view the waratahs when in flower, and is possibly the better access after times of high rainfall.
The other is shorter and follows a fire trail that has been eroded by off road vehicles.
