Geocache Description:

Placed to coincide with a near by event this cache is placed on one of the many footpaths that surround Calke Abbey and the Limeyards which is classified as a SSSI (Sites of Special Scientific Interest).

Calke Abbey was a private estate until the mid 1980s when it was sold to the National Trust, more information about the area (including the restored 138yrd tunnel) can be found here:
http://www.thepeakdistrict.info/derbyshire-stately-homes/calke-abbey.php

The cache itself is located outside the National Trust and the Limeyards SSSI boundaries, the container is slightly unusual and to protect against rust has been placed inside a separate plastic container. To open the cache unscrew the base.

Please take the time to ensure the cache is re-hidden well checking all angles, the area is popular with walkers and families so the muggle risk is deceptively high if the cache was left uncovered.
