Geocache Description:

The cache is located in Glendun, Antrim Plateau, Co. Antrim.

Glendun River rises on the northern slopes of Slievenanee and flows north-eastwards down a wonderful valley to enter the sea at Cushendun. The cache is hidden above the river's course and close to a small car park which provides both an excellent picnic spot and a great view down the valley towards the Sea of Moyle. You could be forgiven for thinking that this area has never seen much human activity - but look around - the abandoned hill farm buildings, lazy beds and moss covered dry stone walls tell a different story.
What you seek is a small tablock box wrapped in black fabric. It contains a few swop items. At the time of placement only the leaves of Foxgloves could be seen - however, come the summer there will be many tall spikes of this beautiful flower (also known as "fairy's cap" and "deadmen's thimbles"). Please note it is not necessary to harm any plant whilst searching for the cache. From springtime onwards watch out for other wild flowers - just look - don't pick. How many can you identify?
