Eranna: Der Esel ist nicht mehr da, und den Hund gibt es nicht mehr. Irgendwie ist der Sinn des Caches weg, deshalb archivieren wir ihn. Danke für die Logs.

Geocache Description:


"El Paso" heißt soviel wie "Durchfahrt". Man fährt hier eigentlich immer durch, wenn man auf La Palma irgendwo hin will. Wir haben deshalb dort einen schnellen Cache hingelegt, der komplett ohne Wandern mit nur einem kurzen Fussweg erreicht werden kann. Dieser Weg sollte auch nicht mit dem Auto befahren werden, denn er ist sehr schlecht und das Wenden am Ende nicht möglich, ohne auf Privatgrund zu fahren.
Ein möglicher Parkplatz steht unten. Dann findest Du an den Startkoordinaten ein Schild mit einem Straßennamen drauf. Welche Farbe hat dieses Schild?
  • A=1: gelb
  • A=2: weiß
  • A=3: braun
  • A=4: blau
  • A=5: orange

Der Final liegt dann von den Startkoordinaten aus
Unter einem Winkel von ((A*A*A*A)+9,7)°
In einer Entfernung von (Winkel-(A*A*A)-A-0,1)m

Den Cache findet man am besten mit dem Spoiler. Dabei bitte nicht die ganze Mauer abtragen, es muss nur ein Stein hochgenommen werden.

Noch ein Hinweis für Cacher auf der Insel: es gibt hier einen giftigen Hundertfüßer (10 - 25 cm lang) auf der Insel, der sich gern unter Steinen versteckt. Sein Biß kann sehr schmerzhaft sein und man sollte nach einem Biß vorsichtshalber einen Arzt aufsuchen.

An dem Cache beginnt ein Privatgelände, dass zum Bergen nicht betreten werden muss. Der Hund, der dort manchmal rumläuft, ist sehr lieb und völlig harmlos. Der Esel Momo darf gestreichelt werden. Das Gelände gehört zur Finca Aurora. Wer sich nach dem Cachebergen über den Ort informieren möchte, der darf den Weg gerade aus zum Haus gehen und sich am Wintergarten bemerkbar machen. Aber der Rest des Geländes sollte nicht betreten werden wegen der Privatsphäre der Gäste.

"El Paso" means "passage" or "transit". Wherever you want to go to on La Palma you will pass this village. Therefore we placed an easy cache here. You don't have to hike, just walk a short track to the final. You should not drive there: the dirt track is very bad and one cannot turn the car without using private ground.
A possible parking space is mentioned in the waypoints below. Using the start-coordinates you will find a street-sign holding the name of this road. What is the color of this sign?
  • A=1: yellow
  • A=2: white
  • A=3: brown
  • A=4: blue
  • A=5: orange

How to find the final:

Follow the direction ((A*A*A*A)+9,7)°
to the distance of (angle-(A*A*A)-A-0,1)m

You will find the cache using the Spoiler below. Please do not remove the whole wall, you just have to lift one larger stone!


A note for all cachers on this island: here lives a poisonous centipede (length: 10 - 25 cm), which likes to hide unter stones. The bite can be very painful and you should consult a doctor to be on the safe side.

The Cache is hidden on the border to private property. Entering this private ground you will NOT find the cache! Sometimes a huge dog will greet you but it is absolutely harmless and likes to be cuddled. There is a donkey/mule some meters away. "Momo" likes being stroked.

The area belongs to the "finca aurora" / "finca de bienestar". If you want to know more about the finca you may go straight ahead to the house and attract attention to yourself next to the winter garden. BUT please respect the privacy of the guests living there and DO NOT walk about the rest of the area
