Geocache Description:

A challenging hike in the Sandia mountains near Albuquerque leads to a spectacular, seldom visited spot.

This cache is a near "Juan Tabo Peak", the knobby high point of the long, steadily rising ridge that runs north/south in front of the western slopes of the Sandias forming the western side of the Juan Tabo drainage. . The name isn't marked on any maps -- I got it from one of the folks who regularly hike there.

There are a lot of ways to reach this lonely spot. The most interesting is to hike north up the long ridge, a route full of spectacular views and fascinating geology.

Original contents of the cache include two travel bugs and a giant nickel I got from another cache. If the travel bugs are still there, please take one or both. I've held on to them for too long!

The cache is well hidden in an area with lots of hiding spots. The hint will probably be helpful. Please carefully replace and cover the cache.
