You're looking for a small cache at a public area. Bring your own pen and use stealth.
If you geocache long enough, you will eventually have to explain this crazy hobby to a member of the law enforcement community. I seem to be a bit of a magnet for them. I have explained what I was doing many times. Tonight was one of those times.
Just as I was stepping out of the truck to place this cache, one of Scottsboro's finest pulled up, put the spot light on me and asked "What are you doing?"
I smiled and explained geocaching. At first he didn't seem to believe me. I showed him my GPSr and the cache I was planning to hide and he warmed up to the idea.
I got the impression that he didn't see the value in what I was doing but he told me to have fun and went on his way.
Nothing like a little visit with the Po Po to get your blood pumping.
