The Obelisk Traditional Cache

The Obelisk is located in inner Newcastle, in an area known as The Hill. Situated along the Great North Walk, the Obelisk has great views over Newcastle, especially the eastern part. This was also the site of the first reservoir for Newcastle’s reticulated water supply. It is a very short but slightly steep walk up a hill to the cache, including a few stairs.
The cache is a clear plastic 0.5L container. The area was surprisingly muggle free when I was surveying the area for a cache. However, recent visits have shown it to be a popular spot to enjoy the views on nice days. It has been muggled on more than one occasion by some lowlife elements who felt it necessary to deface the log and steal the cache contents.
Please be discreet when searching for the cache so as not to reveal its location
