Cleaver Square Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

lodgebarn: I have moved offices now so this is harder to maintain, hence I think it is time to bite the dust. It is had a pretty charmed life over the years in a great square that is often busy with drinkers and boule players. Thanks to all finders and apologies to the last few who failed to find.

Geocache Description:

An interesting square in South London

Cleaver Square laid out in 1789 was the first residential square to be developed south of the Thames. Amazingly the 1881 census reveals 481 residents which was severe overcrowding. It has had various uses over the years including a nursery with greenhouses. In 1995 the centre of the square was restored with money from the Heritage Lottery fund. More detailed information can found on the board at the edge of the area.
