The city of Rolling Hills Estates was incorporated to preserve the area's rural character. Here you'll see wide open spaces, three-rail white fences, and horses of course! Nearby Ernie Howlett Park is home to an annual national horse show.
There is no parking or stopping on Hawthorne Blvd. You may park at Rockbluff Park across the street (N33° 47.292 W118° 21.503) or on nearby side streets. Strictly obey all traffic laws when crossing the street.
Although the cache is at the posted coordinates, this is not a Park and Grab. Give yourself enough time to hunt this one, it may take a while. You are looking for a WELL camouflaged, irregular-shaped container about 2.5" x 3.5" x 1". When hunting this, there is no need to step off the pavement/trail. This is a log-only cache, please bring your own pen. TOTT may also be helpful. Please slide the cache cover sideways to open it, don't pull up on it. Cache elevation is 400', please stay off the street median!
This geocache is located in a hidden spot, similar to the location of Watch Your Step #2. However, the cache containers and types are distinctly different. If you're having trouble finding the cache, please drop us a line. We'd be happy to give you additional tips.
