Welcome to the 26th. cache by Team Ladava continuing our historical tour, this time taking in part of the Carlsruhe Federation Trail. Update Unfortunately the plaque noting the two conflicting accounts of the untimely death of the poor fellow has gone missing however an image of the plaque can be found in the gallery.
On January 2nd 1849, John White was killed in a tragic accident involving a horse. He was buried in the vicinity of the Carlsruhe Inn. The given coordinates will take you to his grave. At the foot of the grave is a marker quoting the badly eroded inscription and offering two possibilities as to John White’s profession. PLEASE - In your log include your opinion as to which is the most plausible, Story 1 or Story 2. From time to time I will provide cumulative totals of your collective opinions. You are looking for a camouflaged 1 litre container with the usual swaps. NOTE. There is no need to cross private property. We suggest PARKING at S 37 16.965, E144 29.757 There is quite a pleasant path winding up through the middle of the recently established gum tree plantation Enjoy Votes for Story 1 - 19 - 31% Votes for Story 2 - 25 - 41% Teams not voting - 17 - 28%
