What A Vine View! Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Ngaambul: As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

A two stage Multi that will take you about 1km through Holt and finishing with a nice view.

This cache will take you on some of the internal footpath network through Holt should you choose to walk or ride it, otherwise you could drive. It is also a great walk for your Geohound. Please be aware that if you park at the posted Coordinates and walk or ride, you will need to travel back to your Geomobile.

At the listed coordinates you will need to find a four digit number to calculate the coordinates for WP1. Use these digits as ABCD in the below.

Calculate WP1

S35 13.(C+D)(A+D)A E149 00.(C+D)(A+C+D+A)(A+C)

At WP1 you will need to locate some Australian Animals (do not count the one on a spring). Use the number of animals as E in the below.

Calculate GZ

S35 13.(A+C+D)(A+E)(A+A+E) E149 00.(C+D)E(C-D)

Once you are at GZ you will need to use a great deal of stealth to retrieve the cache as a lot of joggers, cyclists and even horse riders come this way, not to mention the motorists as well. It may be a good idea to retrieve the cache and then move away and admire the view while signing the log. When returning the cache please try and hide it so that it is not too obvious for passing Muggles. The cache is a 300ml container so it will hold small swaps.

At the right time of year it is possible to see snow from here. It is also a great spot to see the spring and summer storms approach the southern suburbs. Also have a look at the modifications that have been made to the final location to make way for something else!

There are a couple of roads to cross so if you are taking the Geokids along please be careful.

Checksum
WP1 S = 24 E = 35
