A picnic get-together on Quail Island in Lyttelton harbour on Sunday 15th February.
Talking to others living in Christchurch, its amazing how many have not been out to this lovely little island or havn't been for years.
The island is accessable by boat, kayak, windsurfer or public transport.
Co-ordinates are for the picnic area and we are planning to get together to eat between 11.00am & 12.30pm so you can allow time to explore the island after, or just cruise over to sit in the sun (fingers crossed for the sun).
Bring your own food and water as there are no shops or fresh water facilities on the island.
Ferries leave Lyttelton at 10.20am and 12.20am at this time of year.
The ferries return sailings are 12.30pm & 3.30pm
(It may pay to phone ahead and book)
Remember to Bring,,,
Food & Drink (no glass containers)
Rug to sit on, or folding chairs etc
Sunblock, sunglasses, hats etc
Something warm to wear as wind can get a bit cold in afternoon.
