Geocache Description:

This is nice and easy, close to the road, watch out for curious locals.

Ludlow Forrestry Mill and settlement began in 1908 and closed milling in the 60s.
This historic precinct was the first forrestry school in WA established in 1921. Ludlow comprises 11 timber cottages, most are still occupied,former sawmill and workshops, 3 timber framed water tank stands with metal tanks.The settlement is herritage listed.
The mill, workshops and houses were built to mill the pine plantations established in the early 1900s to provide an alternative timber to imports and local hardwoods.
