Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."<br>

Geocache Description:

High Barns Farm #1

Originally part of Seaton Burn Hall, High Barns was in the Walker family from the early 1800's until 1997, once a beautiful traditional english farm of around 800 acres that had cart horses before they had tractors and raised countless sheep, pigs and cattle as well as growing turnips potatoes corn oats wheat and barley, which staw and hay were a byproduct. In the old way of farming, the crops were grown to feed the animals in the winter, as well as sold to breweries and small amounts sold to locals for their horses or pet rabbits.. Granny used to sell eggs and bags of potatoes from the farm house..

There used to be a great garden behind the house and Grannie and Grandad often put extra vegetables over the fence for the people from Dudley that walked the footpath..

This cache is hidden near a fence where we used to shout for the cows, and if they were close enough and could be bothered, they'd reluctantly wander over.. Give them a shout " huff, huff, hawaaaaaay!" used to work for me..
This is a footpath that leads from the road to the farm.. although it's wide enough to drive on, you're not allowed to drive down !!

Park near Morpeth's the caterer in Dudley, at 55° 3'24.90"N 1°36'7.64"W turn through the double gates at 55° 3'23.87"N 001° 36'21.85"W and walk to the cache and back, about 1 mile.
