Geocache Description:





Harrow School was founded in 1572 and is a public school for boys It is located in Harrow on the Hill in Middlesex,England.

However, my 3rd trail has absolutely nothing to do with Harrow School !! Instead I invite you to explore Harrow Hill.

Harrow Hill lies within the Downs north of the village of Patching in West Sussex, it rises to 168 metres above sea level. The earliest remains on the hill are Neolithic flint mines, followed by a small settlement on the south-eastern spur in the Bronze-Age, and an earthen enclosure on the summit of the hill in the Late Bronze-Age. The Trail :-

This is a circular trail of just over 4 miles. There are 8 caches but no bonus I am afraid due to what I consider to be a lack of suitable hiding places near the end of the trail. However 1 of the caches is large enough for swapsies.
The trail doesn't go right up to the top of the hill (you are welcome to try it !!), instead it goes up the side slopes, around the back and back to the entry path. It's still rather steep in a couple of places, and 1 point on the return seemed especially steep and narrow with a drop.... You may be able to ride it on a bike and push, not sure !! For this reason the terrain score works out at 3.5.
It's also a bit remote up here, so could be a bit exposed to the elements !
