Billy rented his shack at the beach to five couples over the course
of the summer months. Each couple stayed between One to Five days
in the shack. By coincidence, this year each of the couples
celebrated their caching anniversary during their stay and each
couple had a passion for a different recreational activity on top
of caching. Determine each couple’s full name, how long they
stayed, what each couple's favourite additional activity was, and
how many years of caching each couple celebrated on their
anniversary.
CLUES
1. Jennifer Picard stayed one day more than the couple who enjoyed
photography. Judy didn’t like rock climbing.
Hayley loved fishing and has been caching three years less than Mr.
and Mrs. Janeway.
2. The two couples who stayed for two and four days were the couple
who had been caching for 4 years and the Siskos.
The couple who had been caching for 5 years didn’t like
hiking, but they stayed at the shack longer than Bruce and his wife
did.
3. Bob wasn’t married to Jennifer, but he did enjoy
Swimming.
Jim and his wife Helen had been caching for three years longer than
the Archers.
4. The couple who enjoyed rock climbing have been caching two years
longer than Bruce has but one year shorter than
the couple whose last name was Janeway.
5. Hayley and her husband stayed at the shack for three days, but
they were not the couple who had been caching for 2 years.
Mr. and Mrs. Kirk stayed for one day, but rock climbing
wasn’t their additional activity.
6. Simon was celebrating his 3rd year of caching but Sophie
wasn’t his wife.
Ted and his wife, who wasn’t Sophie, loved photography. The
couple who enjoyed hiking had been caching for 4 Years.
After you have finished the puzzle you will have 75 1s & 0s as
the correct answers all you need to do is write them out as they
are from left to right from box 1 to 15 then also include the
numbers 10001 at the end. Then you just need to decode the numbers
and work out how to put them in the coordinates to tell you where
the cache is placed.
Good Luck
