Horsin Around Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
A single cache in an ammo box. A gate to the park is closed from about November 1 to March 1. A hike on a paved road of about 4/10 of a mile will be required during that period. Cachers can park at the gate and hike to the cache though. During other periods a short, but a bit steep hike will be required.
This cache is located in a Kansas State Park at Tuttle Creek State Park, Randolph Area. It is not part of the KDWP Geocache prize program. Anyone entering a Kansas State Park with a vehicle needs a current Kansas State Park vehicle permit. The park is home to about 12.5 miles of trail which is very popular with horse riders. A horse campground is being built in that area. Birdwatching opportunities can be excellent. While you are there, take special notice of the incredible views!
