Geocache Description:

Topeka's first Wherigo.

The cache is a Hide-a-key. In order to find this cache you'll need a device with the Whereigo player and you'll need to load onto that device the Whereigo cartridge I created. The cartridge is a tour of several structures from Topeka's 1880's building boom still standing as proud reminders of Topeka's early growth-and as reminders of the fine craftsmanship of an earlier era. To learn more about Whereigo go here: http://www.wherigo.com/default.aspx The cartridge you'll need is located at the Whereigo site noted above. The name of the cartridge is: Historic Downtown Topeka Tour You can also search by state to find the cartridge. I am going to initially rank the difficulty as a 2 for these reasons: 1. Only specific devices (Garmin Colorado and certain Windows Mobile Devices) are capable of having the Whereigo player. 2. This is my first Whereigo cartridge. 3. The Whereigo Builder which I used to create the cartridge is a Beta version and has had known and unknown bugs. I am going to initially rank the terrain a 1.5 for these reasons: 1. Distance - from the starting point to cache is probably over two miles and could take well over a hour to walk, presuming all goes well with the Whereigo player and cartridge. 2. The terrain for almost all of the tour is paved. All constructive feedback is welcome. Please do not post the exact location of this cache.
