Geocache Description:

Should be easy to locate... NOT... in the Quiet Place...

This small "Quiet Place" has captured my attention...I looked up a little information. It has several pioneers resting here... on record says 135 . Alot of the the names were Egbert...there was a whole group of headstones that a family lost 5 babies...each time they only lived a few weeks...I enjoyed the history...at the West end there is a small monument but it is quite faded...I was unable to find that history, on the monument via internet...it was dedicated to the family and posterity of Lewis and Nancy Wight .
Because of the Walker Indian War in 1854 they build a fort. Named it Wights Fort...thus the name "Wights Fort Cemetery" or as I like to say "Quiet" Place. Please be respecful if you enter the grounds.

Remember you do not need to enter the grounds!!! The cache is on the outside....
