It appears that the Blair Athol Track is not safe at present, as it is in a poor condition due to wind damage, fallen trees, and the track not being passable beyond GZ.

It is stated that this cache is in a poor condition and is not being maintained.

This cache is now archived for safety reasons.

Geocache Description:

A 1 litre camo painted cache is located near the far end of the Blair Athol walkway.

You can park your car at coordinates
S 46` 14.425 , E 169` 43.274 or you could park at Naish Park near another cache GCZ81B. both places have access to the track which follows the floodbank along the Clutha river. track is kid friendly, but caution is always needed with children and water.

from either start point you will have about a 30min walk to the cache site.

if you wish take your fishing rod, there are some good spots to pick up a nice brown trout for dinner, or if your into mountain biking there are some interesting trails to follow along this track. dogs are allowed but during September the sheep are lambing so would be wise not to bring your dog then.
