#23 Dirt Road Backstreets
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The phrase Dirt Road Backstreets was coined in a Guy Clark song, called LA Freeway, made popular in the 70s and 80s by Jerry Jeff Walker. While in college, my roommate and I would grab some refreshment, turn up a good 8 track, and hit the dirt road backstreets to kill a Friday afternoon following a tough week of classes. I still love these dirt road backstreets today, and geocaching allows me to see more of them.
LA Freeway
Pack up all your dishes.
Make note of all good wishes.
Say goodbye to the landlord for me.
That S.O.B has always bored me.
Throw out them LA papers
And that moldy box of vanilla wafers.
Adios to all this concrete.
Gonna get me some dirt road back street
Chorus
If I can just get off of this LA freeway
Without getting killed or caught
I'd be down that road in a cloud of smoke
For some land that I ain't bought bought bought
Congrats to BalloonPilot07 on the FTF.
